The OVP made inputs in the Seventh National Development Plan to facilitate mainstreaming of the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in all sectors emphasizing the following:

• Preparedness
• Mitigation
• Prevention

While focusing on the above, OVP will continue to carryout activities related to response, reconstruction/rehabilitation and recovery. The 7^th National Development Plan proposes inclusion of DRR in the development outcomes in all the sectors.
