Honours and Awards

The Office of the Vice-President coordinates National Honours and Awards, a system that recognises and rewards outstanding contributions to national development. The system aims to promote innovation, excellence, and patriotism through various awards, including:

  1. The Order of the Eagle of Zambia
  2. The Order of the Grand Companion of Freedom
  3. The Order of Distinguished Service
  4. The Insignia of Honour
  5. The Insignia of Mercy
  6. The Insignia of Meritorious Achievement
  7. The Insignia of Recognition
  8. The National Award for Excellence in Science and Technology
  9. The Certificate of Achievement
  10. The Certificate of Recognition
  11. The Zambia Gallant Service Cross
  12. The President’s Medal for Gallantry

These awards are conferred on deserving individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service, bravery, and contributions to the nation.
